Equality for women
Equal opportunities and equal pay for women are a matter of course for us. We are particularly keen to promote women in technical and management positions.

The international career platform Femtec is all about inspiring women to pursue (management) careers in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. We support these efforts, as we offer optimal entry and development opportunities, especially for female graduates in STEM subjects.
As part of the Femtec cooperation, we were a partner of the InnovationLab in 2022 and 2023: as part of this, we accompanied female students on a project for five months and regularly invited them to our locations to show them career prospects and strengthen their potential.
We are proud of every single woman whose career path was initiated by our Femtec cooperation. To build on this, we are offering 60 Femtec alumnae an exclusive upskilling program in which they can expand their own skillset through knowledge exchange with experts, practical exercises and discussion rounds.
In coordination with the network, focus topics of the program are defined and offered in virtual live sessions. We also implement our spirit of lifelong learning with our cooperation partners.
Women at Deutsche Telekom talk about their careers and how they have progressed with Femtec.
We play a pioneering role in the German economy when it comes to increasing the proportion of women in management positions. We introduced a voluntary internal quota for women back in 2010. Our goal is to fill 30% of management positions with women. The prerequisite for this was that our corporate culture not only enables equal opportunities and diversity, but that we also live them consistently. A culture in which the best talent gets the job and potential has no gender. We are proud of these figures (as of 31.12.2023):
Three women on the Executive Board
Rising proportion in middle and upper management
Almost half of the Supervisory Board members are women
Not at the finish line yet
We put the spotlight on women in leadership positions from our employee community and showcase their impressive career paths in IT and technology. Their stories inspire, open up new opportunities and encourage others. What insights do you draw from their experiences?
