Femtec – Focus on women studying STEM subjects

The international Femtec careers platform is dedicated to inspiring women to pursue a (management) career in a technical field. We support these efforts by offering joining and development opportunities that are ideal for women who have graduated in STEM subjects.

As part of the Femtec cooperation, we were a partner of the InnovationLab in 2022 and 2023, supporting female students by accompanying them during a project over the course of five months and regularly inviting them to our locations to share professional perspectives with them and strengthen their potential.

Femtec Alumnae

We are proud of each individual woman whose career path was kick-started by our Femtec cooperation. To build on this cooperation, we offer 60 Femtec Alumnae an exclusive upskilling program to allow them to extend their own skill set by exchanging knowledge with experts, through practical exercises, and participation in discussion panels.

In coordination with the network, focus topics of the program are defined and offered in virtual live sessions. True to our spirit of life-long learning, which we also implement and expand with our cooperation partners.

Women in leadership positions

We play a pioneering role in the German economy when it comes to increasing the proportion of women in management positions. We introduced a voluntary internal quota for women back in 2010. Our goal is to fill 30% of management positions with women. The prerequisite for this was that our corporate culture not only enables equal opportunities and diversity, but that we also live them consistently. A culture in which the best talent gets the job and potential has no gender. We are proud of these figures (as of 31.12.2023):

Three women on the Executive Board

With three women on the Executive Board, we are well ahead of the DAX companies in terms of the fair share ratio at 37.5%.

Rising proportion in middle and upper management

Women currently make up 27.9% of this employee group.

Almost half of the Supervisory Board members are women

We have increased the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board from 20% to 47.3% since 2010.

Not at the finish line yet

We are continuing to work on making equal rights a matter of course.

Get inspired, they are #LeadingTheWay

Diversity and equality are essential for advancement. That´s why our journey continues towards a future where talent knows no gender, and opportunities are equally available to all.

Within our employee community, we spotlight women in leadership roles, showcasing their remarkable career journeys in IT and technology. Their stories inspire, reveal new opportunities and empower others. What lessons will you take from their paths?
