Darmstadt – a campus full of life

In addition to several magenta offices, the Telekom campus in Darmstadt boasts two canteens, three multi-story car parks, and a wide range of service offerings. The large, magenta-colored "T" welcomes colleagues and visitors in the impressive reception hall of Deutsche-Telekom-Allee 1.

As soon as I left the "west side" exit of Darmstadt's main station, the magenta-colored Telekom flags caught my eye. I, Jana, have been enrolled for a dual course of business administration studies, which combines both studies and work, since October 1, 2018. During my semester breaks, I work at the Darmstadt site, near my home town. In the HR Marketing department, we develop marketing strategies and creative ideas to increase interest in Deutsche Telekom as an employer. What about you? Has this aroused your curiosity? Or do you know folk you absolutely have to tell about the training and study opportunities offered by Deutsche Telekom? Be my guest...

Back to my little walk from Darmstadt's main station via the busy Rheinstrasse (B26) to the campus of the Business and Technology Park. Around Ida-Rodes-Strasse and the T-Online-Allee there are a lot of Magenta offices... The reception building, Telekom-Allee 1, and another building of the Darmstadt campus each house a canteen that offers a daily selection of up to five meals and a salad bar. From soup, fish, and meat right through to pasta, there is something for everyone. Having had lunch with the team, work is even more fun.

In addition to creative rooms and desk-sharing offices, the campus offers many conference and event rooms, bistros, and lounges. There is also a lot going on outside the Telekom buildings in this part of Darmstadt. Service facilities such as children's day-care centers, restaurants, fitness studios, and doctors are located in the immediate vicinity and also on campus. Three multi-story car parks relieve employees of their daily search for a parking space and are only accessible with an employee ID card. On the deck of a multi-story car park in the adjoining Mina-Rees-Strasse, there is a selection of company vehicles that can be booked for business trips if they are difficult to organize by train. This makes travel planning much easier.

Darmstadt is located in the Rhine-Main metropolitan region and has about 157,000 inhabitants. Approx. 7,900 enterprises, which employ approx. 130,200 people, are resident in Darmstadt, which is also known as a City of Science and Culture.

The Darmstadt Telekom Campus offers perfect conditions to maintain a work-life balance and to create a pleasant working atmosphere. Did this brief description of the Darmstadt site whet your appetite? Then have a look at our career page, maybe we'll meet soon in Darmstadt.
