Femtec scholarship holders present AI innovations in the T Gallery

On 06.02.25, 17 Femtec scholarship holders presented their ideas on the topic of “AI - The next big thing”: they worked on their topics in three project groups for five months and presented the results to DT Technology & Innovation board member Claudia Nemat.

There was much applause from Claudia Nemat for all three AI-related projects. The first was the “Health Booth” project, which showed how health check-ups can be simplified and made more widely available. The “Fun Game with AI” project was about how AI can provide playful support in everyday working life. The “Circadian Sync” group developed a prototype of an AI-driven chatbot that detects the human bio-rhythm and helps us to live with our biorhythm instead of against it.

The topic owner for this year's Femtec Innolab was Tatjana Wittig, Streamlead at Deutsche Telekom's AI Competence Center. “The students' ideas are very inspiring for us,” says Tatjana, ”we very much value the exchange with the Femtec scholarship holders.”During their five-month project, the young women received support from T Gallery colleagues Maximilian Brück, Dirk Hessenbruch and Markus Reuter, who are researching digital trends in order to bring different perspectives and possibilities of a digital world to life at T Gallery.

“It was a great pleasure to take part in this exchange with so many young and talented women. All three projects create value for people - which is exactly what everything we do at Deutsche Telekom is about: human-centered technology. It's fascinating to see how these diverse Femtec talents are actively shaping the path to a digital future,” said Claudia Nemat, Board Member for Technology and Innovation at Deutsche Telekom.

The international career platform Femtec is all about inspiring women to pursue (management) careers in the fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. Telekom has been a cooperation partner of the Femtec Career-Building Program for many years, in which 100 female STEM scholarship holders go through a 1.5-year career-building program every year. Following the Femtec program, many of them take advantage of the optimal entry and development opportunities at Telekom, from internships to trainee positions.
