Your application to be a consultant
You want to join us as a consultant or do an internship? Great! Once we’ve reviewed your application documents, there will be a multi-stage selection process in which you will get to know a number of our consultants. Why do set aside so much time for this? So we can both assess whether we’re a good fit – for us and for you too. We provide you with comprehensive feedback within 36 hours after each step of your application.
Online test
As part of our application process, we would first like to find out more about your deductive reasoning, numerical, and verbal skills by means of a short online test. The test is just a small part of our assessment process and helps us get an initial idea of your abilities. The good thing is you can take the test from the comfort of your own home.
Duration: 30 minutes
Format: virtual online test
Things that might come up:
- Deductive reasoning exercises
- Numerical exercises
- Exercises testing language skills
Tips to prepare yourself:
- Brush up on your mathematical skills and logical thinking by practicing similar exercises.
- Breathe deeply: don’t forget that the test is just a small part of the application process.
Interview
With the interview part of our process, we want to get to know you better and find out if we’re a good match. For us, this is a discussion in which we are all on an equal footing and is not a test. We’ll be focusing on your personal strengths and prospects for development. We are particularly interested in your ability to pick up knowledge and skills independently.
Duration: 1.5 hours
Format: virtual interview with a recruiter

- Conversation about your strengths, your development so far, and your problem-solving skills.
- Substantive questions and discussions
- Brain teasers
Tips to prepare yourself:

- Practice brain teasers related to consulting

Appraisal
We dedicate several hours to you for this. Our aim: we test your analytical abilities as well as your professional and social skills with a typical customer project, simulating classic consulting scenarios as part of a role play. Another exciting aspect: this is when you get to meet your future manager.
Duration: 3.5 hours
Format: Individual interview, two recruiters (partner and senior consultant), external HR consultant

Application for interns
The application process for internships with us is slightly different to the process for permanent employees.

Interview
The interview gives us the opportunity to get to know one other. You can gain an impression of our team and your potential working environment. We also have the chance to get to meet you in person. One key element of the interview is a short self-introduction, which you can use to showcase your experience, motivation, communication skills, and energy.
Duration: 60 to 90 minutes
Format: Individual interview, one recruiter

We provide you with comprehensive feedback within 36 hours of the interview. In the meantime, we can both consider whether we’re a good fit – for us and for you too. If it works for both sides, we would be delighted to welcome you to Telekom Strategy Consulting on your agreed start date.
