Our recipe for success: Curiosity and growth

Our six Guiding Principles act as a kind of compass for the conduct of those within our organization. They help our employees always approach their day-to-day work in a manner that aligns with our culture, values, and targets so we can successfully grow together. Stay curious and grow

Growth and development are essential to us at Deutsche Telekom to ensure we bring our aspiration of “Connecting your world.” to life. Providing our customers with innovative products and services is our bread and butter, the work that really drives us. However, that doesn’t all just happen by itself, which is why we encourage our employees to work together on all kinds of products and topics across different departments by organizing a wide range of events such as BarCamps, hackathons, and promptathons.

Curiosity and innovative thinking need room to spread their wings. That’s why we’ve created spaces, such as our Quantum Lab in Berlin, where cutting-edge technologies like quantum cryptography are being researched to create secure communication networks. Another exciting space is our T-Gallery in Bonn, where visions of digital living and working are brought to life and discussed together with colleagues and customers. With all of our innovations, the one thing that really matters to us is people. Human-centered technologies are particularly important to us, as demonstrated by our Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence. For us, innovation means always acting with people in mind.

People like our colleagues are at the heart of our company and their curiosity and growth keep pushing our company to new heights. In addition to online learning platforms like Percipio, we also have an outstanding employee network known as LEX, or Learning from Experts. This network gives all employees the chance to share their expertise with others, so everyone can learn with and from each other, growing together.

Our employees’ career development is also important to us. With our development programs, we give our employees the support they need to become experts, leaders, and coaches. With our approach to performance development, WeGrow, we identify our employees’ skills and strengths and help them find their next steps in their career as an expert or manager. Our LevelUP! NextGen development program helps our IT and tech talents develop into leaders. Employees with high potential are supported through the Global Talent Hub on their journey to taking on a leadership role.
