In the last four weeks alone, Deutsche Telekom has provided faster lines to over 1.5 million households and business locations. There are 20 million such lines now in place, allowing customers to surf the internet at up to 250 MBit/s.

Deutsche Telekom is building faster internet connections for millions of customers. Over the last four weeks, Deutsche Telekom has been increasing connection speeds to up to 250 Mbit/s (megabits per second) for some two million lines.

A promise kept: For many years, Deutsche Telekom was only allowed to offer speeds of up to 50 Mbit/s (megabits per second) in development areas. This regulation is now history.

Deutsche Telekom is keeping a promise today. It is doubling the speed of the Internet in 1,250 Bavarian municipalities, to up to 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s). Until now, lines in the development areas were limited to a maximum of 50 Mbit/s.
