IFA 2015: more speed, more data, more fairness, more family and more service – more for everyone

More, more, more: That’s the philosophy behind Deutsche Telekom’s new rate plan campaign. As in past months, MagentaEINS customers in particular will benefit from the new offerings. Within just 12 months, nearly 1.5 million customers chose this package of mobile and fixed-network services. MagentaEINS is simpler, better and more integrated. And just in time for its first birthday, Deutsche Telekom is giving its mobile customers more speed and data volume, as well as new offerings designed especially for families.

“Today we are launching MagentaEINS 4.0. It offers more speed, more data, more fairness and more for the family – and will set us far apart from the competition,” says Niek Jan van Damme, Member of the Deutsche Telekom Board of Management. “We are steadily expanding the world of MagentaEINS. We launched MagentaEINS for the consumer segment in September of last year and for business customers in March of this year. In May, we introduced an EU flat rate exclusively for MagentaEINS customers, and today we are launching our family offering.”

More speed, more data and more fairness for everyone
Speed: Customers with MagentaMobil rate plans will now enjoy considerably more speed at the same prices. In the MagentaMobil S and M rate plans, Deutsche Telekom will offer LTE with up to 150 Mbps in the future. Customers with the MagentaMobil L rate plan can surf Telekom’s fastest LTE network with up to 300 Mbps. The same applies to the data rates: Data Comfort S and M customers can surf at up to 150 Mbps effective immediately, while L customers enjoy the maximum available LTE speed, currently up to 300 Mbps. MagentaEINS customers have already enjoyed maximum LTE speed since last year – at up to 300 Mbps. Especially important: Deutsche Telekom is offering all these extras at the same price. Telekom is also optimizing its portfolio for its MagentaZuhause home offerings. In the future, surfing speeds of up to 50 Mbps will be possible throughout Germany in the starter MagentaZuhause Hybrid rate plans. Smart hybrid technology automatically bundles bandwidth from mobile and landline networks, giving customers in rural areas in particular a noticeable speed boost when surfing at home. This offering will become even better through MagentaEINS, too. Every MagentaEINS Hybrid customer will automatically enjoy the maximum available LTE speed for surfing at home, even if they have only booked 50 Mbps through LTE, for example. Especially important: Deutsche Telekom is offering all these extras at the same price.

In addition to higher speeds, users will also get more data. Especially important: Deutsche Telekom is offering all these extras at the same price. High-speed data volume for all new and existing MagentaMobil M customers is increasing from 1.5 to 2 GB, and for MagentaMobil L customers from 3 to 4 GB per month. Customers with high-end plans will also get more data: The MagentaMobil L Plus rate has increased from 5 to 10 GB, and the Complete Premium rate is increasing from 20 to 30 GB.

Fairness: Customers who occasionally need extra data will benefit from the new, fair SpeedOn option. At Deutsche Telekom, customers are not forced to buy additional high-speed data, but instead have the option to do so. This additionally purchased data volume is now valid for 31 days, effective immediately, and automatically rolls over into the next month.

More for the family – simple, safe entry into the world of MagentaMobil
Deutsche Telekom aims to become Germany’s family telecommunications company. With its new MagentaMobil Start and Family Card Start rate plans, it offers numerous benefits, especially for parents whose children are just starting out in the world of mobile communications. We all start small, but our needs grow, which is why the starter rate plans are built on a simple structure that grows with its user, without any contractual ties and with full cost control. At their core is an attractive basic rate plan that can be complemented by two data options as needed. Standard high-speed LTE availability is a new feature in the starter rate plans, making entry into the world of mobile communications even faster and more secure. The Family Card Start rate plan has many features for parents. The plan contains an unlimited parents’ flat rate to a personal phone number in the fixed network, which works even without credit on the SIM card. So parents can rest assured that their children can always get in touch. A preconfigured Internet block in the basic rate provides for additional security in the mobile Internet. The monthly base price of 2.95 euros is billed easily and conveniently through the corresponding mobile contract. And best of all, the Family Card Start is already included for MagentaEINS customers.

Additional, extended protection on the Internet will become available on November 30, with the new child protection option. Starting in late 2015, parents with Deutsche Telekom fixed-term contracts can configure user profiles for their children, using a smartphone app to define time limits for Internet use and limit Internet access to specific websites that are appropriate for the age profile, for example.

More service: Every new fixed-network customer who will change to Deutsche Telekom is assigned a personal contact after signing. That contact proactively sends information on all important steps and status changes in the order. In addition, an online channel is set up that customers can use to send callback requests to their changeover advisers, who then get back to the customers quickly. Changing providers couldn’t be easier.

Another new feature: The new Customer Center app now includes a “Contact” button, which lets customers contact a Deutsche Telekom consultant through a channel of their choice, such as chat, call or callback-service.
