T-Systems and Cloudreach to accelerate customer public cloud adoption

  • More growth and greater agility for managed cloud services
  • Further expansion of cloud expertise
  • Joint offerings for cloud consulting, migration, and operation services

T-Systems and Cloudreach have announced a strategic partnership for managed cloud services for the public cloud, effective immediately. The partnership pairs the expertise of Cloudreach in hyperscale cloud adoption and ongoing operational support with T-Systems' know-how as a hybrid-cloud provider. The combination of these critical capabilities will deliver incremental value to T-Systems customers.

With this partnership, T-Systems continues to evolve its strategy as a pioneer in managed cloud services. Cloudreach is a leader in software-enabled cloud adoption and management of customer applications running in hyperscale cloud providers. Its extensive customer base includes enterprise customers such as Volkswagen Financial Services, Ströer, Hearst Corporation and BP. Cloudreach has also been recognised by Gartner as leaders in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Cloud Services for the second year running.

With the addition of Cloudreach as a partner, T-Systems is expanding its portfolio as a provider of managed cloud services, especially for systems and processes already running on the platforms of hyperscale cloud providers, such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Combined with an extensive portfolio of Open Telekom Cloud and expertise in hybrid environments, the two partners will be able to provide an end to end experience to their clients.  Organisations increasingly demand integration and interconnection of complex, global IT systems across different cloud providers. T-Systems and Cloudreach will be able to provide better support in assessing IT landscapes, transforming and migrating applications, as well as operating them in the cloud. Cloudreach's expertise will enable T-Systems to be more agile in addressing customer needs.

As part of the partnership, T-Systems will increase the number of cloud experts through a set of joint training programmes. This will allow the partners to address a larger pool of customers, most of who are in need of expertise in this area.

"Partnerships with leading providers in the IT sector are one of our strengths. Cloudreach is the ideal partner for accelerating our growth in the important business of managed cloud services," said Adel Al-Saleh, CEO of T-Systems.

T-Systems has been a long-standing and trusted advisor to some of the largest enterprises for many years. As these customers look to adopt cloud to transform their businesses, they will be able to leverage Cloudreach’s 9 years of public cloud expertise and T-Systems’ hybrid capabilities to deliver on that goal,“ said Pontus Noren, Co-Founder and CEO of Cloudreach.
