Sustainability Management from the Cloud

  • Software provider WeSustain is the new Enterprise Marketplace partner
  • Software-as-a-Service from the cloud
  • Special software manufacturers expand T-Systems’ cloud offering

The software provider WeSustain and T-Systems are now offering companies a complete solution for sustainability management from the cloud. The software covers all areas of sustainability management and is provided by T-Systems from its own highly secure cloud data centers. WeSustain is available as Software-as-a-Service in the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary’s Enterprise Marketplace. Users do not require any special software, as they can access the program via their PC or mobile device. “We run the software as well as provide the connection of the cloud solution to a company’s existing software such as the ERP system,” says Frank Strecker, who is responsible for cloud-related business at T-Systems. “Using interfaces to relevant databases, WeSustain consolidates information on sustainability management across locations and systems.” Fixed price per user Today, professional sustainability management is a complex challenge, particularly for large companies. For example, the data required that is related to water consumption or voluntary work performed by employees is often distributed across various locations within the company. Such data is also often recorded in different units such as liters or gallons and/or stored in different formats such as Excel tables, PDFs or corporate ERP systems. “Creating sustainability reports and controlling sustainability measures thus requires a large number of staff, takes a long time due to manual procedures and is also prone to errors,” explains Dr. Manfred Heil, CEO at WeSustain GmbH. “Thanks to the combined offering of WeSustain and T-Systems, an individual sustainability report can now be created in just a few clicks.” WeSustain also provides applications for carbon footprint management and stakeholder management. Companies pay a fixed price per user for the cloud solution. The number of users can be adjusted at short notice to the actual capacity required. Enterprise Marketplace bundles cloud offering In the Enterprise Marketplace , companies can order infrastructure, software or packaged solutions from the Telekom cloud. All services, including integrated proprietary developments, can be easily integrated into existing system landscapes. “Within our cloud strategy, we are constructing a unique ecosystem of leading software providers. We offer a complete package comprising innovative applications, a high performance, secure infrastructure and our value-added services,” explains Frank Strecker.
