Effective immediately, customers of Deutsche Telekom's E-Mail@t-online.de can automatically synchronize all data such as email, address book and calendar with their iPhone or iPad using the new synchronization service Smartphone Sync. The service is made possible through a collaboration with Microsoft Corp. and the acquisition of an Exchange ActiveSync patent license. Thus, the protocol is implemented on the servers of the Deutsche Telekom, representing the latest industry standard for the automatic synchronization of smartphones. Cooperation for innovative offerings Thanks to the aforementioned collaboration with Microsoft, E-Mail@t-online.de customers will receive an innovative and well adapted service for smartphones, which will soon also support Android and Windows Phone 7. Special feature: email, address book and calendar are automatically synchronized via push function. The interaction of customers - in contrast to other sync services - is not necessary. With the licensing and implementation of Smartphone Sync, Deutsche Telekom is treading new ground and is thus in the prominent company of a number of renowned firms such as Apple, HP / Palm, HTC, Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. Deutsche Telekom is the only major German E‑Mail provider to offer such innovative synchronization services for their E‑Mail@t-online.de customers: Smartphone Sync is available exclusively with the premium email products "E‑Mail Paket" and "Freemail Premium".
