Entertain, Deutsche Telekom's TV service, now offers the broadest range of HD programs in Germany. With all RTL media group channels and other attractive high-definition programs going live, the Entertain HD offer now comprises over 80 TV channels. Entertain will include the news channel n-tv HD as of October and HD programs from the public-service broadcasters announced for December. Free TV programs RTL HD, VOX HD, RTL II HD, SUPER RTL HD and RTL NITRO HD will be integrated along with CNN International HD, Deluxe Music HD and iMusic HD in the existing HD Start package. The pay TV channels RTL Crime HD, Passion HD and RTL Living plus 13 other high-definition TV channels will extend the Entertain genre packages in conjunction with the new HD option. This will enable Entertain customers to view all the programs in their optional genre packages in high definition - where available - for EUR 4.95/month. Besides this, Entertain Premium will go HD, with HD Start and HD Option already included in the price of EUR 44.95/month. "By adding the high definition RTL channels, we are delivering on our promise to offer our customers the broadest and most attractive range of high definition television. It makes us the leading HDTV provider in Germany," says Michael Hagspihl, Director of Marketing for Telekom Deutschland GmbH. "Customers who want top quality viewing cannot afford to ignore Entertain. We already show all the leading private and public-service channels in high definition, and will continue to expand our HD offer in future." Full bouquet in high definition The RTL HD, VOX HD, RTL II HD, SUPER RTL HD and RTL NITRO HD channels along with CNN International HD, Deluxe Music HD and iMusic HD will make the HD Start package even more attractive. For EUR 6.95/month and a minimum contract term of only one month, Entertain customers now have access to 18 exciting private channels in top viewing quality. Current subscribers who book the HD Start package up to and on September 4 will continue to pay EUR 4.95/month. The new channels will be activated automatically. RTL Crime HD, Passion HD and RTL Living HD along with 13th Street HD, auto motor and sport HD, BonGusto HD, Cartoon Network HD, Disney Junior HD, Disney XD HD, Fuel HD, Lust Pur HD, Sony TV HD, E! HD, RCK TV HD, Romance TV HD and Universal Channel HD are also available with Entertain as of today. These channels will be supplied in conjunction with the new HD option in various TV packages such as Big TV, Film, Lifestyle and Music. The familiar booking terms with a minimum contract term of one month again apply for flexible TV entertainment here. New: HD option and Entertain Premium At the same time as the numerous new HD channels go live, Deutsche Telekom will be adjusting its Entertain rates structure. The HD option for EUR 4.95/month can be added to one or more genre packages as well as to Big TV. This means that Entertain customers will also be able to view all the channels available in their TV packages in high definition. Another new feature is the Entertain Premium rate: HD Start and HD Option are already included in the price of EUR 44.95/month. Customers therefore pay EUR 6.90 a month less than they would if they subscribed to separate packages. At the launch, new customers who book the Entertain Premium rate will receive the Big TV package with over 50 additional programs for six months at no extra cost.
