Deutsche Telekom and SugarCRM Announce Partnership to Deliver Advanced CRM and Cloud Services for the Enterprise

  • Telekom’s systems solution unit to resell Sugar as hosted cloud service
  • T-Systems will operate the CRM solution in German data center

Deutsche Telekom and SugarCRM, a leading specialist for customer relationship management, today announced a global reseller alliance. Telekom’s systems solutions unit T-Systems will deploy Sugar from its secure data centers in Germany and resell the cloud-based CRM solution and services to enterprise customers.

The CRM solution helps companies establish and maintain relationships with customers. SugarCRM captures all relevant customer data via standard interfaces to other company IT services such as merchandise management systems, ERP software and shop systems. This gives them a holistic view of their customer base and, at the same time, enables a direct customer approach. T-Systems offers the CRM services from a highly secure private cloud complying with Germany's stringent privacy regulations. What's more, the partner agreement gives business customers full flexibility. If required, T Systems will implement and operate the SugarCRM solution on the customer's premises.

"SugarCRM’s partnership with T-Systems addresses a genuine demand to offer a highly flexible, enterprise-class CRM platform that can be rapidly deployed," said Clint Oram, co-founder and CTO at SugarCRM. "Companies around the globe want a robust enterprise solution that is easily customizable to align with their unique and scalable business needs. The combination of T-Systems’ secure data centers and renowned consulting expertise, coupled with SugarCRM’s industry-leading CRM that uniquely focuses on the individual customer, is a winning formula for businesses."

Focus on Germany, Switzerland, Austria T-Systems is assuming responsibility for marketing, operation and consulting for the joint service. The Telekom subsidiary guarantees enhanced IT security standards as well as reliable application functioning and accessibility. In addition, it cooperates in individual cases with integration partners to advise customers on issues such as system design and implementation. "With SugarCRM we are adding another intuitive SaaS service to our portfolio. And we offer all this to our customers from a single source: We advise, sell and operate the CRM solution reliably from the secure German cloud," explains Frank Siemon, responsible for cloud partnerships with ISVs (independent software vendors).

SugarCRM is available from T-Systems all around the world but the initial sales focus will be placed on Germany, Austria and Switzerland. More information about the partner project will be available at CRM-Expo in Stuttgart from October 8 - 10, hall 4, booth E 71.
