- New Managed IT Services modules: Online storage and Big data solution
- Managed Workplace with new functions such as telephony and video
- TeamLike now also for large SMEs
At CeBIT 2015, Deutsche Telekom is presenting new modules from its private cloud portfolio “Managed IT Services” which are aimed particularly at large SMEs. These include “Managed Backup to the Cloud,” an online backup solution with 500 GB storage capacity to store, synchronize and access data in the private cloud from anywhere, using any device. The backups are made automatically at certain times and intervals, and the data sorted according to parameters such as file size or type. The information is transferred using AES 256-bit encryption. A web portal allows users to manage the online hard drive.
Big data solution and site networking
The big data solution “SAP HANA” is a second new product, which is based on the database technology underlying SAP’s in-memory computing. The computer’s main memory, as opposed to a separate database, is used to process large volumes of data in real time. Deutsche Telekom ensures secure operation of the SAP infrastructure in its highly secure German data centers.
The “Cloud VPN,” a solution for internetworking company sites, is also new. The individual sites are linked on centralized routers in the private cloud, with data transferred securely over the public Internet courtesy of an “IPSec tunnel”. Customers themselves can use a self-service app to monitor connection setup and clear-down as well as the data exchanged.
At CeBIT, Deutsche Telekom is also unveiling its upgraded “Managed Workplace” offering, a fully fledged managed workstation from the private cloud. An integrated IP PABX as well as a video and collaboration solution with support for call swipe are also new. This feature enables users to switch calls to and fro seamlessly between their devices. The product will be available from the third quarter of 2015.
TeamLike for large SMEs
Deutsche Telekom is presenting a new variant of its social business collaboration application “TeamLike” in Hanover. Larger companies constitute the target group for the application. The TeamLike platform is run on dedicated servers, i.e. servers operated exclusively for the customer in Deutsche Telekom’s German data centers. A mobile client is also new, which provides wireless access to TeamLike, and can be used on laptops, smartphones and tablets.
Experience our products and services live at CeBIT from March 16-20, 2015, at the Deutsche Telekom Stand (C26) in Hall 4.
