With its new Speedbox, Deutsche Telekom has created a high-speed hotspot that goes where you go. The Speedbox, which has a four-hour battery life, offers customers 100 GB of data for use within Germany. 100 GB is equivalent to 50 hours streaming HD quality movies, 2,500 hours listening to music or 5,000 hours surfing the web. This makes the device particularly suited to households who commute, for going camping or whenever flexibility is a must. The Speedbox connects to the Internet via the LTE mobile network, providing speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s.
"With the new Speedbox, our customers can get online quickly and easily wherever they need it. This service offers flexibility, with high data volumes on Telekom's best network," says Michael Hagspihl, Managing Director Private Customers.
Just plug it in and get surfing
The Speedbox is easy to set up. Simply switch it on and connect it to the mains if necessary. Then you're ready to get surfing on a LAN or WLAN connection wherever you are. The Speedbox accesses the Internet using a micro-SIM that connects to the mobile network . The device can only be used in conjunction with the Speedbox Router.
Plan options with ample freedom
For 39.95 Euro per month, customers get 100 GB of data for use within Germany. There is a one-off charge of 39.95 Euro for the device. A one-off charge of 1 Euro applies for the Speedbox Router. The contract term is 24 months. The SpeedOn option offers an extra 15 GB for 14.95 Euro, or 30 GB for 29.95 Euro, if required.
Speedbox Flex is even more flexible. With it, customers only pay if the actually use their Speedbox. There is a one-off fee of 39.95 Euro for the device and 99.95 Euro for the Speedbox Router. 100 GB data for use within Germany can be purchased for 44.95 euros by data pass. It is valid for 31 days.
All customers under the age of 28 benefit from the Speedbox Young rate. They get 10 Euro off per month on the inclusive volume or on the Flex rate on the data pass.
