Deutsche Telekom and salesforce.com, the leading provider of enterprise cloud computing, today announced they have signed a reseller agreement naming T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customers unit as strategic partner for salesforce.com and a primary reseller for salesforce.com’s #1 CRM platform.

The deal was announced today at Salesforce 1 World Tour Munich. At Germany’s largest Cloud event, Marc Benioff, CEO of salesforce.com, and Tim Höttges, Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom, outlined the deal, which states that T-Systems will be the preferred sales partner for salesforce.com in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). The partnership allows customers to receive salesforce.com solutions directly from the highly secure Telekom Cloud. In Addition, Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customers unit T-Systems will be the data centre provider for salesforce.com’s upcoming German data centre.

The partnership will further expand to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at a later date.

For Deutsche Telekom, the partnership is an important building block in expanding its cloud business and in the implementation of its partnering strategy. "Companies that want to benefit from the opportunities of the digital age have to master an ever broader technological spectrum – and Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customers unit and salesforce.com are now working together to support them on that," said Höttges. "Together with salesforce.com, we are expanding our range of simple and cost-effective cloud services, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises, which form such a strong part of our economy in this country." Deutsche Telekom, the leading cloud service provider in Germany and Europe, continues to invest in cloud infrastructure and opens Germany’s most modern data center today.

"German companies are investing in the cloud to grow and drive innovation, and T-Systems and Deutsche Telekom have a unique understanding of the DACH market," said Marc Benioff, founder and CEO, salesforce.com "This strategic partnership with Deutsche Telekom’s T-Systems underscores our commitment to the DACH region and to EMEA overall."

Deutsche Telekom is using salesforce.com’s CRM systems itself to increase their own sales productivity and expand their customer intimacy.
