The Open Telekom Cloud is expanding its coverage to Asia.
"As a rule, Deutsche Telekom has operated around the globe, there wherever our customers are", said Andreas Falkner, responsible for the Open Telekom Cloud business, and top DT representative at technology partner Huawei's Connect Conference in Shanghai. "Thanks to the Open Telekom Cloud, we can now offer the public cloud services, which have proven themselves in Europe, in the dynamic economies of the Asia-Pacific region. This is particularly attractive for Asian companies interested in the European market."

The technological platform, based on OpenStack with open interfaces, enables fast and easy access and facilitates integration in the existing IT landscape. OpenStack also eases uses such as Lift and Shift between Singapore and Europe. Evidently, the Open Telekom Cloud's proximity to users in the APAC region will reduce latency times.
