MWC 2019 – Deutsche Telekom brings connectivity to life

  • Interactive experiences illustrate the importance of high-performance networks
  • Deutsche Telekom at MWC under the motto #TAKEPART

#TAKEPART - that's the motto chosen by Deutsche Telekom to present the digital world of tomorrow at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. From February 25 to 28, 2019, the company will display the interaction between high-performance networks and digital applications. #TAKEPART points the way. Everyone should have a stake in the opportunities of digitalization. Antje Hundhausen, Head of Brand Experience at Deutsche Telekom, says: “We will showcase tangible applications of a connected life. And our networks and technologies are the cornerstone.”

Deutsche Telekom will present solutions for industrial environments in the area of "Industry Performance". What will the city of tomorrow be like? "Smart City" has part of the answer with the "City Tree". This intelligent bio air filter reduces fine particles and noise pollution. It is an opportunity to improve the digital infrastructure in city centers. Deutsche Telekom will also be presenting 5G solutions for the automotive industry. The new standard opens up new possibilities also for "Connected Life". Together with SK Telecom, the company will demo experiences in virtual space.

The interactive subject areas illustrate how modern technologies can interact seamlessly. Antje Hundhausen: “We want to make innovations tangible. Visitors to 'Tangible Virtuality' will together become part of the digital world for the first time. The social VR experience lets them see and feel elements. This happens on the very frontier between the real and the virtual world.”

Deutsche Telekom will illuminate the different facets of the digital society on the main stage.
