Deutsche Telekom is now offering its business customers Microsoft Office software at a highly attractive price. The company is the first telecommunications provider in Germany to market the full-licensed Microsoft Office 2007 software in a package with the HP Compaq Mini 732 EG netbook. A particularly attractive option allows customers to buy the product package on an installment purchase basis. The monthly charges are billed conveniently as part of the customer's telephone bill. The installment purchase option enables net savings of up to EUR 281.60 to be made on the software alone compared to the direct purchase price.
Customers can choose either the Professional Edition for EUR 13.44 net per month or the Small Business Edition for EUR 9.24 net per month. Both Office packages contain standard programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, with the new Business Contact Manager for managing customers and contacts. Microsoft Office 2007 Professional also contains the database software Microsoft Access. The software can be downloaded for local installation on the netbook at the click of a mouse. After a contract term of 24 months, the software becomes the property of the customer and can be operated indefinitely.
Deutsche Telekom also offers a product package with the latest iPhone and the one-year Hosted Exchange Business package for the perfect mobile working experience. It allows users to access e-mails and their calendar and contacts on the move. The server-based solution synchronizes data between the iPhone 3GS and the local Outlook version automatically. As part of the product package, Deutsche Telekom business customers pay no basic charge for the software for three months. With this package, Hosted Exchange Business costs EUR 44.11 net in the first year, instead of EUR 58.81. The special offer runs until December 31, 2009 and the standard minimum contract term for the Hosted Exchange package is twelve months.
