- All about 5G applications and the Magenta world of experiences
- Deutsche Telekom is out to impress with its innovative festival format
- #TAKEPART Festival to feature talks, live podcasts and concerts
Deutsche Telekom is bringing a festival feel to IFA 2019 under the motto #TAKEPART from September 6 to 11. The focus will be on the Group’s promise on participation. The company will be bringing 5G applications as well as the world of Magenta products and services to life in Hall 21a. Starting mid-August, “Road to IFA” events in Berlin and other cities will take place to get people in the mood for the #TAKEPART Festival. The company hopes that the range of events will provide a lighthearted and entertaining gateway to digitalization. The whole family is invited to #TAKEPART.
“The #TAKEPART Festival is aimed primarily at young people and their take on the world,” explains Antje Hundhausen, Head of Brand Experience at Deutsche Telekom. “The program is designed to bring out visitors’ creative potential – with workshops including ‘Hand lettering and upcycling’ and a how-to studio for budding podcasters, DJs and photographers, everyone’s invited to #TAKEPART.”
“Road to IFA” events
Deutsche Telekom is building up to the main festival with a series of “Road to IFA” events that kick off in August:
- August 15 – Telekom Shop, Schadowstrasse in Düsseldorf
- August 22 – Gamescom Camp in Cologne
- August 24 – About You Pangea Festival in Rostock
- August 29 – Telekom Shop, Kurfürstendamm in Berlin
#TAKEPART Festival
The #TAKEPART Festival offers an exciting program with something for everyone. The main stage will host musicians and talks every day, not to mention live podcasts and the chance to meet influencers. The focus will be on the biggest issues of our time, particularly from young people’s perspective – from climate change through to friendship in the digital era. The whole trade fair experience is designed to encapsulate the brand promise of “Life is for sharing”.
Siblings Anni and Martin Dunkelmann will be acting as MCs and welcoming star guests every day, among them programmer Aya Jaff and social activist Ali Can. The musical acts will include Amili, DJ Mad and Alli Neumann, to name but three. In the outdoor arena, there will plenty of chances to relax, exercise and have fun during roller-skating jams and wellness sessions.
