Deutsche Telekom to launch Exent's GameTanium service in Poland

  • Premium mobile game service for Android devices exclusive for DT customers for a limited time.
  • “All you can play” subscription service model with over 150 games from top publishers and developers, with a free trial period

Deutsche Telekom is teaming up with Israel-based games-on-demand provider Exent to introduce the GameTanium subscription mobile game service to Europe. Exent’s innovative service offers unlimited game play of hundreds of the most popular games for Android smartphones and tablets, from more than 100 publishers of the world’s foremost game developers. The service will roll out in Poland this spring, with further European markets in the DT footprint set to follow over the course of the year. Customers will have exclusive access for a limited time. Customers will also benefit from a free trial period, after which they will continue to have unlimited access to the premium versions of the world’s leading casual games for a low monthly subscription fee. "We’re pleased to partner with Exent and be the first operator in Europe to offer such a mobile games subscription service to our Android users." said Heikki Makijarvi, Senior Vice President Group Business Development and Venturing at Deutsche Telekom. "Subscription is the preferred consumption model for entertainment services and we are working diligently to partner with leading players to bring the best of these types of offerings to our customers. Following successful partnerships in the subscription music space, for example with Spotify, this addition of the GameTanium service is a natural progression as games are routinely a top content request of our customers, and Exent is the perfect candidate to provide such services." Where other mobile gaming services allow users to download one game at a time and often require payment for premium versions or features, the GameTanium service provides customers with unlimited access to as many games as they can play for just one low monthly subscription fee. Exent’s games library features the top mobile games on the market today including Fruit Ninja, Collapse! and Plants vs. Zombies as well as many other titles from leading games publishers. "It is evident that Deutsche Telekom takes its "easy-to-partner" strategy seriously,” said Zvi Levgoren, CEO of Exent. "The smooth and efficient partnership process allowed us to focus our efforts on delivery. We are proud that the Deutsche Telekom Group shares our vision of revolutionizing the classic game delivery model. The subscription model meets mobile users’ emerging needs and demands, and we look forward to offering GameTanium to DT customers across Europe."
