- Österreichische Sportwetten GmbH, a strong partner with vast experience, is on board
- Secure, responsible betting is a central component
- Highlights include quick picks and yes/no bets
A new chapter in sports betting has been opened. The starting whistle for www.tipp3.de – a fair, responsible offering on the sports betting market – was sounded today. Effective immediately, tipp3.de has opened the doors to an Internet-only offer for sports fans, with a focus on soccer. However, bets on other sporting events – such as basketball and Formula 1 – are also possible. The new portal takes bets exclusively for professional sports; bets on amateur and youth matches are not possible. Deutsche Telekom holds majority ownership of tipp3.de operator Deutsche Sportwetten GmbH (DSW), with a 64 percent share, and stands for the motto "We make sports better".
"We are betting on the growth market of sports wagers," says Matthias Schmidt-Pfitzner, Head of Digital Media at Deutsche Telekom. "We are entering the business as a trustworthy online provider – with a maximum focus on security, quality and the customer experience."
The partner in DSW, with a 36 percent share, is Austrian provider Österreichische Sportwetten GmbH (ÖSW). ÖSW is part of the Casinos Austria Group and boasts more than 14 years of experience in accepting sports bets in Austria – one of the most competitive sports betting markets in Europe. Over this period, ÖSW has professionally handled more than 140 million sports wagers. The company pays special attention to the areas of player and youth protection, as well as to measures aimed to prevent match manipulation. This vast trove of experience makes ÖSW an ideal partner for Deutsche Telekom.
Responsible gaming is particularly important to Deutsche Telekom, with a focus on targeted prevention. It involves specific measures such as the setting of binding limits for deposits, bets and losses during the registration process, as well as participation in the "mentor" program, which reliably identifies and points out suspicious betting patterns. And it is clear that children and young people are not a target audience for tipp3.de. No one under 18 years of age can play; tipp3.de uses the ID Pass from Deutsche Telekom, among other methods, for age verification. ID Pass ensures that only persons who have been successfully verified as adults can use tipp3.de. Deutsche Telekom's age verification system has been rated positively by both the KJM (Commission for the Protection of Minors in the Media) and FSM (Voluntary Self-Monitoring of Multimedia Service Providers) in the past.

The selection of sports wagers is diverse, yet clearly arranged. tipp3.de offers bets on popular sports disciplines, such as soccer, ice hockey, tennis and basketball. Unique betting forms – such as a quick pick with additional bonus and simple yes/no bets – provide an entirely new way to experience the world of sports betting. Placing a wager makes following the sporting event especially exciting. It's about entertainment, fun and putting one's own sports expertise to the test. The quick pick offers a fast way to get started in the world of sports betting and offers and extra bonus of 15 percent on top of the total odds. A preselection of sports events and results makes it possible to place bets with just a few clicks, and can be changed at any time. Easily, quickly and conveniently.
Instead of selecting odds and special bets, the "yes/no" questions are simply answered with "yes" or "no". Bets of one euro and up can be placed, and bettors win twice their bet even if the question package contains one wrong answer. From entire Bundesliga match days to individual winter sports events, the yes/no bet covers a wide range of betting options.
Each new customer at www.tipp3.de will receive a starting bonus of up to EUR 103 on their first deposit.
