CeBIT 2014: Telekom launches SME Partner Program

  • Standardized partner program for IT, M2M, fixed network, and mobile communications
  • Focus topic: Cloud growth in the SME segment
  • Individual growth and development opportunities for partners

To coincide with CeBIT 2014, Deutsche Telekom is launching the standardized SME Partner Program as part of the "SME campaign". It bundles for the first time the partner activities in the portfolio clusters IT – including the topics cloud and De-Mail –, machine-to-machine (M2M) as well as fixed network and mobile communications under a single roof. The target group is partners from small and mid-sized enterprises, including systems houses, software vendors, marketers, hosters, and M2M startups. "In the SME Partner Program we are combining Deutsche Telekom's technological and financial strength with the proximity and solutions expertise of our strong partners. Thus we enable small and mid-sized enterprises throughout Germany to benefit from all the advantages of connected work. It is a win-win-win situation: Our partners have the opportunity of tapping into new market potential as part of a stable, secure partnership. We grow together with them in the IT market and also reach smaller SMEs in particular. And our joint customers receive future-proof products and solutions so they can compete long term," explains Patrick Molck-Ude, Head of Sales and Business Customers Service. The SME Partner Program consists of various partnership models and three levels with different requirements placed on partners. Depending on the assigned level, the partners benefit from services such as marketing and PR activities, training, or joint events. In this respect they can be active in just a single portfolio cluster or in several, but always have a single Deutsche Telekom contact, while benefiting from an extensive partner network. "We want to make it simple for our partners to cooperate with us. Hence we have set up a consolidated program across all products," says Roland Angst, Head of Business Customers Partner Sales Channels. In addition to the marketing activities of the fixed-network and mobile-communications partners in partner sales and retail, the focus in the SME Partner Program is on the growing cloud market. Deutsche Telekom supports its partners with setting up and expanding cloud-based solutions and services. The vCloud, Swyx, and Microsoft Lync products are being launched at CeBIT. As part of the reselling model, partners source the services directly from the secure Telekom cloud, bundle them with their own solutions and services – and then market these to their customers. As a result, they can choose how they market their cloud portfolio and reinforce their customer relationship. Patrick Molck-Ude: "We would like to collaborate securely and competitively with our partners long term and develop further jointly – and do so particularly in the groundbreaking IT market in the German SME segment." Experience our products and services live at CeBIT from March 10 - 14 at the Deutsche Telekom stand in hall 4, stand C26. Deutsche Telekom's entire presence at the trade fair is carbon-neutral: All CO2 emissions generated in setting up and operating the stand are offset fully by carbon-reduction projects abroad.
