Telekom once again secured outstanding results in trade journal Connect's readers' choice awards, taking first place in seven different categories, including the most important categories.
"Magenta across the board for Deutsche Telekom: Readers voted the company not only the best mobile communications operator, but also fixed network provider of the year 2014," wrote Connect in a press release. Telekom also took first place in the categories LTE provider, prepaid card network operator, music services (joint service with Spotify) and IPTV services (Entertain). On top of that, second brand Congstar was crowned best mobile communications provider.
The Connect Community Awards were presented in Stuttgart. Connect presented the coveted readers' choice award for the best products, networks and services in 2014. Between March and May, more than 99,600 participants cast their votes for their favorite brands and offerings in 26 categories from best mobile network operator to best tablet. "Quality and day-to-day usage were just as important factors in readers' voting as service and customer satisfaction. That made the Connect Community Award an important badge of consumer trust for the industry," said Connect managing editor Dirk Waasen.
Plus: Deutsche Telekom also came out on top of consumer association Stiftung Warentest's latest comparison of mobile communications networks. "Telekom operates the best mobile network in Germany," the organization concluded. Telekom came out on top in voice quality, network coverage and the quality of its mobile data network.
