In the summer of 2020, Deutsche Telekom brought well-known German musicians to the Drive-In Arena in Olpe with the Cologne cult band Brings.
Corona has infested the cultural and music business. Deutsche Telekom as the main sponsor supports the idea of enabling people to take part in live concerts so that they can still #takepart in these times. This is why Deutsche Telekom and Brings brought musicians to the Drive-In Arena.
The concerts took place on the large grounds of the Hufnagel company, just like the visit to the drive-in cinema. Besides the great technical equipment, the arena also had an extremely large stage.

In the anniversary year of Ludwig van Beethoven of all people, many events around the 250th birthday of the composer had to be cancelled due to corona. Therefore, the concerts of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn were a special highlight of the event series. The Brings Symphony Orchestra was a guest on stage at the start of the car concerts.
On the second evening the orchestra had Bläck Fööss with them on stage. The Cologne band celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
The purpose of the event was to offer drive-in concerts in rural areas, in order to provide a wide range of cultural activities there as well.
The offer was well used. So there was room for about 280 cars on the premises. About 1000 guests could enjoy the car concerts in the Sauerland.

For a good eight weeks, BonnLive Kulturgarten brought cultural events to Bonn in the summer of 2020 with the support of Deutsche Telekom.
Kulturgarten took place on the small flower meadow in Bonn's Rheinaue. Over 50,000 visitors experienced events almost every day - and that in the summer, which was severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Up to 2,000 visitors could attend each event. This was made possible by the special concept of the event series, for example with quarantine strips and a one-way street system. The necessary hygiene and protection requirements could be ensured by separate plots with deck chairs or beer benches. © Frederic Hafner / BonnLive
The program was diverse and varied and offered shows of music, comedy and theater for young and old. Every week the Young Theater Bonn was on the Kulturgarten stage with different plays like Petterson and Findus. Even bad weather could not deter the visitors. Supplied with magenta rain protection the events were a great success. © Frederic Hafner / BonnLive
Influenced by the pandemic, many events were offered digitally this year. Deutsche Telekom, in particular, has made a commitment to this with formats such as Wacken World Wide or the Street Gig with James Blunt. At the same time, Deutsche Telekom continues to focus on personal participation and promotes cultural events with a live audience, such as the Kulturgarten. © Frederic Hafner / BonnLive
