Deutsche Telekom has relaunched its corporate website www.telekom.com to underscore its sharper focus. It features a new design, new functions and extended dialog and service offerings. The heart of the new design is the feed, which consolidates all the latest news from the Group, turning the corporate website into a digital hub. The feed content includes articles from the website, along with posts from Deutsche Telekom's various social media channels.
All information about the company and its dialog offers are now presented in real time, directly on the home page. telekom.com will now become the Group's leading digital medium. With this step, Deutsche Telekom's Corporate Communications is expanding its pioneering role in digital communications. It will also reflect the results of the multi-channel editorial planning and production of media content by the Content Factory. After initial deployments at CeBIT and IFA, the Factory is now firmly embedded in Deutsche Telekom's corporate communications.
A focus on dialog: telekom.com as the central digital forum
"Users' information and communication behavior has changed fundamentally in the age of digitization. Communication without the possibility of feedback simply isn't an option any more," says Philipp Schindera, Head of Corporate Communications at Deutsche Telekom. "With our new telekom.com site we have created a forum that allows real and authentic communication. Users can comment on and debate a wide range of topics. We are investing heavily in community management. Visitors have the option to pose their questions and make their suggestions directly on the site. The integration of our social media offerings and corporate blog (Blog.Telekom) reinforce the dialog characteristics of our offerings." A dynamic question-and-answer module (FAQ) gives users fast answers to their questions. The FAQ is always visible in the "?" tab on the right edge of the browser and displays potential answers and information as soon as the question or individual keywords are entered. Questions can also be sent directly to the website's editorial staff.
Modern, simple and fully responsive
The new design of telekom.com is modern, clean and bright. Large, full-width image modules on the stage or in smaller module series – combined with the news feed and integrated social media offerings – provide an overview of the company's hot topics. The page is fully responsive, enabling its convenient use with any device – whether smartphone, tablet PC, laptop or desktop.
The new telekom.com site was developed and implemented by the media development team in Corporate Communications together with Hamburg-based agency Publicis Pixelpark for concept and design and with T-Systems Multimedia Solutions GmbH for the implementation of a new content management system.
