As already announced, the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck is celebrating its 10th anniversary by holding a special exhibition of the works of the British sculptor Henry Moore. In addition, the museum has offered three exhibition-related workshops on art and media skills.
Class 4c from Adelheidisschule, a primary school, visited the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck – and used public transportation to get there. Ms. Perschen, artist in residence at the Arp Museum, began by showing the schoolchildren the view.
Preschoolers from the daycare center "Kleine Wolkenstürmer" ("little cloud stormers") also visited the Arp Museum and enjoyed a guided tour. The children were so eager ...
The children and the artist had very lively discussions in front of the sculptures. Ms. Perschen explained the exhibits, and the children had plenty of opportunity to ask questions and communicate their impressions.
Class 5c from Marie-Kahle school, an integrated comprehensive school (Marie-Kahle-Gesamtschule), discussed the exhibition after receiving a guided tour.
The schoolchildren were encouraged to photograph the exhibits with smartphones and thereby show their own "angles" on the works.
The preschoolers traced one of the sculptures – from their own perspective.
The next item on the program, after the museum tour, was arts and crafts.
