Birgit Bohle, born 1973, citizenship German, took up the post of Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director of Deutsche Telekom AG effective January 1, 2019. From January 1, 2020, she is also responsible for legal affairs. 

From 2007 until the end of 2018, Birgit Bohle held various management positions at Deutsche Bahn AG. From August 2015 to October 2018, she was Chairwoman of the Management Board of DB Fernverkehr AG. During this time, the company gained more than 15 million new passengers and significantly increased its earnings. From 2010 to 2015, she was Managing Director at DB Vertrieb GmbH. Under her leadership, ticket sales via internet and mobile were massively expanded, and the "DB Navigator" developed into one of the most downloaded apps in Germany. She began her career at Deutsche Bahn in 2007 as Vice-President Business Development and Marketing at DB Vertrieb.

Bohle began her professional career in 1992 with an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at chemicals giant BASF. She then studied Economics at the Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar near Koblenz, at ESC Nice, and at the University of Texas at Austin, and specialized in marketing, controlling, and finance. After completing her studies, she initially worked for Bertelsmann AG before joining the McKinsey group in Frankfurt am Main in the year 2000. She worked for a large number of clients and was Associate Principal in the European Transport & Logistics management team.
