This year, four Telekom women made it to the shortlist of the Digital Female Leader Award (DFLA), and one of them even stood at the very top: Beate Michel received first prize in the IT Tech category. Nadine Junker, Chapter Lead Software Engineering at Deutsche Telekom IT, delivered the laudatory speech on November 8 in Karlsruhe.
The Digital Female Leader Awards recognize professional skills, leadership qualities, innovation, and social engagement. Out of 36 Telekom nominations, four digital heroes made it to the shortlist: Lejla Pandžić, Business Development Manager and Program Lead Sustainability at Telekom subsidiary T-Systems International GmbH, Zoe Nogai, author and project manager for fiber processes at Telekom Deutschland GmbH, Sarah Lauer, Solution Engineer Gigabit at Telekom IT GmbH, and Beate Michel, Head of Service Interface Technology at DT Service GmbH. These nominations reflect the dedication and expertise that Telekom employees demonstrate across various fields of IT and digitalization.

In her laudation, Nadine praised Beate’s commitment as well as her ability to advocate for customers, overcome resistance, and unite diverse interests.
The DFL Award: A Symbol of Diversity and Innovation
