The Cloud made in Germany: Microsoft and T-Systems offer secure cloud services for corporate customers in Germany

Microsoft and T-Systems are intensifying their strategic cooperation and combining their cloud-services skills. The solutions come in response to corporate customer's growing demand for standardized cloud-based solutions. Companies value such services because they can draw on them as necessary and pay for them on the basis of actual use. At the same time, the attractiveness of such services depends centrally on their security. Significantly, German data privacy and data security provisions provide high security standards. Microsoft has brought its Microsoft Office, Exchange, Lync and SharePoint products into the strategic partnership. With the new services packages, companies can enhance the effectiveness with which their employees communicate and cooperate via their networks. T-Systems provides the software via its German high-security data centers and integrates it, as a "cloud", within the (Information and Communication Technology - ICT) landscape. Microsoft is also providing much of the technical basis for the new services. The architecture is based on Microsoft Dynamic Data Center with Hyper-V for virtualization and Microsoft System Center for systems administration. The new jointly provided services are aimed at a range of different industries, including banks and insurance companies, automakers and their suppliers and energy companies. As of the CeBIT 2011 fair, the services will be marketed under the name "Dynamic Services for Collaboration".
