Deutsche Telekom in North America

T-Mobile US (TMUS) has been part of the Deutsche Telekom Group since 2001. Deutsche Telekom holds a 51.5 percent stake in the company, which is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington (as of January 24, 2025). With around 130 million customers, T-Mobile US is the second-largest mobile operator in the U.S. market (as of December 31, 2024). With a market capitalization of around $250 billion (as of December 31, 2024), TMUS is the largest telecommunications company in the world in 2025.

T-Mobile US operates two main brands: T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile, through which the company offers services, mobile devices and accessories. In 2020, T-Mobile expanded through the acquisition of Sprint. The company's growth continued in 2024 with the acquisitions of Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, which remain separate brands. In addition, T-Mobile serves as a host network for various mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs).

T-Mobile US offers the largest, fastest and most awarded 5th generation (5G) mobile network in the United States. It serves more than 330 million people in two million square miles (as of 12/31/2024) In addition to mobile services for residential and business customers, T Mobile US also provides a solution for high-speed internet based on its nationwide 5G network (fixed-wireless access).

T-Systems

T-Systems, the business segment of Deutsche Telekom, has branches in many cities in the U.S. and offers customers in the U.S. and Canada customized digital solutions such as cloud services or services in the areas of artificial intelligence and security.
