As a dynamic, international company with flat organizational structures, we are shaping the future of Deutsche Telekom.

9,500 IT specialists in seven countries simplify, digitalize, and speed up processes in the large corporation to optimize the outcome and experience for our customers. In doing so, we support Deutsche Telekom’s business processes, for example by designing, developing, and operating internet portals, CRM and billing systems as well as the necessary admin and support systems, including ERP and business analytics.

In an age of technological change, our focus is shifting from internal services toward a cloud-based infrastructure. Our aim is to provide holistic integrated solutions with a flexible approach to meet customer and market requirements.

„Working at Telekom IT means working with world-class technology and IT teams.“

Agile working

Telekom IT is increasingly using the organizational format of digital hubs in order to be able to make Deutsche Telekom products and processes available to customers in a flexible manner and with shorter lead times. Here, our IT experts work closely with experts on the technical side. Even though these projects are often very complex, results can be achieved quickly because Telekom IT uses agile working methods.

The scrum method is used within the teams, while the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) also greatly facilitates agile working. We are also using the DevOps Framework to drive the automation of processes between software developers and IT teams in order to enable faster and more reliable development, testing, and approval of new software properties and functions.

Modern leadership culture

Traditional hierarchies and time-consuming work processes are under scrutiny and set to be replaced by new, advanced formats. To give an example: In 2021, our employees will choose their own manager for the first time. The prospective managers convince their colleagues with competence and their leadership philosophy and are selected in anonymous online votes. Formal appointment processes and approval by the leadership are no longer required. A total of 260 management positions will be staffed this way in Germany.
