Deutsche Telekom praises again the Women’s STEM Award. Although the STEM field is constantly being enriched by valuable, female talents and the statistics are more and more positive with regard to equality and gender distribution, the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics are still male disciplines. This is why Deutsche Telekom is honoring outstanding academic achievements again in order to get even more young women inspired for a career in STEM.
Women’s STEM Award – great chance for young women to be in the spotlight
For the eighth time, female STEM graduates from all over the world can submit their thesis with focus on the strategic growth areas of Cloud, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things or Networks of the Future.
Together with the initiative “MINT Zukunft schaffen” and the students’ magazine “audimax MEDIEN”, Deutsche Telekom awards the best thesis with 3,000€. In addition, each innovative topic will be awarded 500€.
Looking forward on practical use cases
Please be aware if your work is about cloud and plays a significant role as an enabler technology in the context of digital transformation. Especially when the focus is on the use of Edge or Cloud Layer Iaas, PaaS and SaaS in the development of completely new, disruptive business models or the optimization of existing business models. Then you should definitely apply with this thesis. But this is only one of five growth areas that will be honored by the Women's STEM Award. We are also looking for innovative approaches of scaling, performant and intelligent networks, as well as theses on artificial intelligence or the Internet of Things. And if your work deals with attacks in cyber space, then you also have the chance of winning the main prize in this category.
